Locality: Ranomafana; 50 km E of Fianarantsoa on Mananjary road. Across R. Namorona from Ambatolahy.
Elevation: 950 m.
Coordinates: 21º45´S 47º28´E
Habitat: Mid-altitude hill forest with Winmannia, Tambourissa, some Psidium invasion, and canopy 15-25 m tall
   
Description & notes: Straggling small tree 3 m tall in damp valley. Leaves bright medium green. Inflorescences axillary; male ones medium green overall with greenish white perianth. Female flowers are subtended by green bracts with white pellucid dots
